Are There Easy Fixes for Ugly Bathrooms?

Friday May 16, 2008
One of the most disconcerting things in life is having an ugly bathtub or shower stall. Yes, I know - wake up, there are much worse things in life than a stained, cracked, yellowed, icky bathtub. But my reasoning is that you can weather those other bad things in life if you can always come home to a nice bathroom.

Case in point: I often tell people who inquire about the chronology of home renovation to fix the bathroom first. After a long day of undertaking other dirty projects around the house, it's always great to have a place to wash your troubles away. So, if you feel you still don't want to entirely remodel your bathroom right away (it is a fairly expensive proposition), then consider cheaper, easier fixes like refinishing your bathtub by yourself. Before you refinish, of course, you'll want to spot repair the surface.
