Only a few years ago it would have been laughable to suggest the idea of a cordless circular saw. After all, circular saws draw a lot of juice, and battery technology was not nearly evolved enough to support these high demands. Now, in addition to the familiar cordless drill, we've got cordless reciprocating saws and circular saws. We looked around to find the "sweet spot" in terms of price vs. quality product. Yes, it's possible to get good factory reconditioned tools, but it's a different matter to buy these things sight-unseen off the Internet. So, we kept our cordless power tool profiles below the $200 range and all brand-new. Also, we tried to stick to the better brands like DeWalt. Again - yes, it's entirely possible to get a $69 cordless reciprocating saw, but it means buying a Ryobi (no thank you).
