Recently, we wrote about The Home Depot's dumpster rental program, in alliance with Oakleaf Waste Management. In that post, we noted that a quote for the Seattle, WA area did not include any starter weight. Example:
A 14 day rental in Seattle, WA for a 40 yarder (40 cubic yards) would cost $240. That is a nice price. Yet that was based on zero starting weight. So, your first ton, which can accumulate fast, would push the price up another $93. Each subsequent ton would cost another $93.
Marc R. Okrant, Vice President of Marketing, informed us that this price, while true, is an anomaly. In 98%+ of the markets we
serve," says Okrant, "the pricing does include tonnage (up to an allotted amount) in the base pricing. Our pricing strategy is generally to conform to the pricing approach most common in each market so that consumers can make a reasonable comparison and therefore arrive at an educated decision on who to select as their dumpster service provider."
True to form, we researched Fresno, California and found that their 30 yarder will cost $345 for 14 days, with an included weight of 4 tons. Weight above that runs $36 per ton.
If anything, it proves it's cheaper to live in Fresno than Seattle.

Yes I too find the same issue with Home Depot, they dont have any initial Ton limit for the dumpster, for a customer it confuse a lot, whereas I browse through different other sites like book a dumpster & dumpster source but they dont have prices for most of the major zip codes, I suggest Dumpster Direct as it cover up most of the Zip Codes & they have one great feature “NAME YOUR PRICE” which is not available in any other sites. You can quote your price through this feature & if its feasible to them then a customer can book the dumpster.
Dumpster Direct does have a name your price feature, but its lowest bid level is still significantly higher than most local companies set price.
Thanks for your input.
Can anybody tell me the website where they have lowest dumpster rental prices.
FYI, just called 800 433-8677 and Home Depot has ended their dumpster rental program.
