As a kind of unicorn chaser to my recent article about severed fingers, I've collected a number of bathroom remodeling ideas in the form of a picture gallery. Most of these bathrooms have a very contemporary feeling, yet remarkably all of them use free-standing tubs. Other than the cost of the tubs, modern bathtubs with clean lines are actually cost-effective. Using glass blocks, 24" tiles, and off-the-rack sinks, it's possible to design a very cool bathroom on the cheap.
