Lowe's/Skil Contest - Slap Together a Birdhouse, Get a Vacation

Normally, when you see a contest related to home remodeling tools and materials, it's like this: Enter the contest; wait; win; receive ten sheets of Plywood or a "free in-home vinyl siding consultation."

Big whoop. I think that after a long weekend's work of remodeling your home, you deserve to get away. Lowe's and Skil are running a contest that does just that. If you win Grand Prize, you get a vacation for four (sorry, Octofamily) to any one of ten Worlds of Discovery parks. Why do I think you--yes, you--have a shot at winning? Because the bar is raised, thus narrowing down the competition.

See, it's not just submit-a-form-and-win. You need to complete a simple project (preferably using Skil tools, but not required), and send in your project. So, even though you have to do something, the project is super-simple and the entry process is easy and all on-line. It's like back in the day when you had to write a cigarette jingle to win a Maytag washing machine. Except no lung cancer, no jingles. And yes, other prizes do involve home remodeling stuff, like Skil Lithium Ion Cordless Combo kit and other neat things.
