We've all seen them--and they usually originated from the previous owners (of course). I call them Knucklehead Remodels!!! and they fully deserve all three exclamation points.
Sure, these can be foolish remodels veering into Oh-So-Dangerous category.
But more often than not these are lame-brained home remodels that leave you scratching your head and saying, "Huh?"
These remodels tend to originate from laziness, over-confidence in one's remodeling skills, or just a lack of understanding about what makes a great home remodel.
When I find myself saying...
- "What on earth were these people thinking?"
- "How did these people live like this?" or,
- "I'd love to wring their necks."
...then it's proof positive that I've encountered a Knucklehead Remodel!!!
