There are three ways you can drill a hole at an angle. Taking the old Sears Good-Better-Best method of rating things and turning it around backwards:
- Best - Drill press. The cheapest drill press I have found is Harbor Freight for $129. Your biggest investment, though, is space. Do you really want that drill press taking up all that room?
- Better - Pocket jig. A neat item that attaches to the work material and helps guide your drill. Cost: about $60.
- Good - Cost: $0.00. This method of drilling a hole at an angle uses two drill bits and your drill. Not an amazingly precision hole (don't use this for furniture-making) but it works for most home remodeling projects.
