Between the kitchen and dining room, Finne designed a unique L-shaped sliding door. "I wanted to create a larger sense of openness since it's an older home with distinct, separated rooms." The challenge was how to make a sliding panel pocket door that could become either L-shaped or remain flush to the wall. Finne designed an articulated hinge with special joinery that does just that. Dubbed the "zipper door," it was built by Quantum Windows.
