The United States Green Building Council is a non-profit membership organization founded in 1993. They are known for developing the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. Members include architects, designers, engineers and product manufacturers, among others. USGBC offers resources and educational materials for members and the public to help them stay apprised of green building and design principles.
