He's religious about keeping the original hardwood floors as much as possible.

But as many home renovators learn along the way, renovating kitchens is a different story. Modernization is essential here, though Billy says that wherever possible he will "reuse, re-invent, [and] update cabinets" and he often "trick[s] them out a bit with some trim or...cutouts for glass fronts."
