Guide Review - Black & Decker The Complete Guide to Garden Walls & Fences
The Black & Decker Complete Guide to Garden Walls & Fences addresses the entire spectrum of walls and fences for your home exterior. Many fences, such as the vinyl panel fences found at lumber and home improvement yards, may be easy for the amateur DIYer to figure out without much help. Even so, the Black & Decker guide takes you through the complete process of puttng up just such a fence.
But other walls and fences, particularly the stone ones, can be downright enigmatic. Ever made or repaired a dry stone wall? Do you even know what a dry stone wall is? How does this differ from a mortared stone wall? Why should the amateur never construct a dry stone wall over 3 feet tall?
These questions are explained in clear detail in the Black & Decker Complete Guide to Garden Walls & Fences
This book is part of the entire library of Black & Decker "Complete" guides, and complete this one is. I may be a garden wall-building naif, but at least for my needs this book contained far more information than I will ever use. Not that my property has no need for garden walls and fences; it is practically shouting for these additions. But how many of these can you build on your property?
If anything, being presented with such a wide array of fences and walls allows you to see what's out there to aid in the selection process.
