Bathtub refinishing is a very fast remodel. Refinishers lightly sand the tub or shower surface, then spray it down with a special type of paint. Some companies may return for a second sanding, while other companies confine the project to one day.
The only hitch is that these companies are in high demand prior to holidays. So, this one- or two-day job may take three weeks to set up.
Tips:
- The two big companies, Miracle Method and Permaglaze, aren't the only tub refinishers out there. If time is tight, look at the independents.
- Be cooperative. Take time off from work and meet them on the weekdays.
