With all due modesty, I must say that About Home Renovations rocks when it comes to instructive videos about interior painting. Few other home remodeling projects lend themselves so well to 2-3 minute videos than painting. And painting is one of those skillsets that we can all use brushing up on!
Step 1 - Painting Safety
We like to emphasize safety. Believe it or not, home renovators actually do get injured while painting. Learn how to
avoid the number one cause of injuries among DIY painters.
Step 2 - Painting Preparation
Once you have the safety tips mastered, the first thing you need to do is
select the proper paintbrush and then
tape the walls. A good taping job can make all the difference in a pleasurable (or at least tolerable) painting project or a painful one.
Step 3 - Ceiling Painting
While it depends on your personal preference, many painters like to
paint the ceiling first. One reason is simply that it's the most difficult surface to reach, and so it's nice to get that out of the way. On more practical terms, it often makes more sense in process-flow to finish the whiter surfaces first.
Step 4 - Wall Painting
Windows require special care, so do those next. Finally, you will want to
cover the walls with latex paint.
