How to Install a Bi-Fold Door

Putting up the bifold door is easy. It's the hardware in the doorframe that can be a bit tricky. Here's how it's done.

Install Bifold Door - Locate End Hole

Locate the top end of the door. Because I often tend to be "spatially challenged," I like to prepare things as close to possible how they will be in the end product. So in this case, I set the door on end and climb up on a ladder to get to the top of the door.

Here you will find two holes. Locate the hole that you intend to be the "hinge end." In other words, the side that will be closest to the door frame.
